Child Protection

We were sent this today from one of our friends, Heidi Nabert. We’ve become so close to Heidi in the last 2 months because of her courage and tenacity in confronting her child abuse as a five year old girl. Her story, as it is unfolding on www.BooBooGone.com is amazing.

Here’s what she wrote us:

“Hey Preston and Joyce!

I have a Great Story to tell…

The little voices that are on the Podcasts are my best friend’s 2 daughters, Rosie (8) and Asia (14). They recently listened to the podcasts and as you know I jump right in at the beginning of the first podcast saying that I am a survivor….

Well, little Rosie didn’t know what the meant so her mom, (my best friend) explained a little about what happened to me in little kid terms. Rose told her mom, once she understood what it meant, that she wanted to go to California to take your course.

She is having a bully problem at her school at the moment and has been asking her mom to take her to a self-defense course so she can protect herself. Rosie is a wonderful and cheerful child but her personality has changed since the bullying started. It is being addressed by the school, but she still has fears. Anyway, I told Rosie that she didn’t have to go to California that I would be getting a copy of the course on DVD and that I would share it with her so she could learn all of this stuff. So she is really excited about learning this info.”

Now, dear readers, just so you know, we dropped an extra copy of our book and DVD’s into the mail so Heidi can give it to the girls!
